Vanarts it is

So I've finally decided on Vanarts in Vancouver, BC. It will be so strange. Not only am I living on my own, but in another country! I know BC is similiar to the USA, but it will still be weird. I'm setting of March 2011! We'll see how it goes.

College

Thinking of Vanarts or Kansas City institute of art. Both sound great. One's closer, one's cheaper, one's a lot nicer looking. I don't really know what to do. I can't visit the one in Kansas City because it's too far away. So if I decide to go there, there's no going back. That has me worried. But no matter what my choice, I'll be glad to finally be on my own.

Kitty Amigurumi!

I just finished my first Amigurumi! It took me a few tries to get the ears right and even now I don't like how one of them is. But I really loved making it. And there's plenty more to come. Any craft that keeps my hands and mind busy helps me relax. I wonder what I should make next?

I'm calling her Lilla

Amigurumi is a Japanese craft where you crochet little toys. Traditionally, it's used to make dolls, but the animals are too cute to resist.

Scottsaurous

I just found this old picture and it made me laugh. This was taken on my birthday when my pinata's head came off and my brother went around the house using wearing its head as his own. Ah, the good old days.

Welcome to my Blog

Okay, first post! I was thinking a lot about my own style and realized that I never knew I had one. But an assignment in class got me thinking about how I wanted to illustrate. I found that just doodling was more appealing to me than trying to do serious drawings. So it quickly became my favorite way to draw and now it's more of my style than ever.

So take a look around, thanks for visiting, and I hope you'll stay connected!
